This property was designed and built to be an area providing nice accommodations for a single guest to a group of guests. The vision for this property began as a place for family gatherings, hunters to enjoy not only our awesome hunting but have a great place to stay, a retreat location for groups and expand on our nightly rental options in Oswego. Houses are furnished, stocked with bedding, towels, dishes, cookware, and basic staples including coffee. All you need to complete your stay is clothing and food.
Rustic Retreat offers 5 individual homes on the same piece of property, a cleaning shack with laundry services and for those hunting and fishing who are successful in their quest. It also includes two fire pit areas to enjoy being outside. Four of the houses and the cleaning shack were completed in 2021 and the original house on the property was remodeled in 2020 and includes a large deck.
While the outside of the new houses reflects the rustic design once the guest step inside, they get to experience the feel of our favorite places to visit. The design and furnishings are inspired by our love of the mountains, Alaska, and the time we spent in the Northeast. Now you can enjoy a small taste of these places all while being in the small town of Oswego!

Rustic Retreat, Cabin 1 (1 bedroom, sleeps up to 4) $85/night
The one-bedroom Alaskan Cabin was inspired by one of our favorite places to visit. Now you can enjoy a small taste of Alaska while being in Oswego, KS!
Offers two twin beds to accommodate individual sleeping or converted to a King Bed for couple sleeping and a sofa bed located in the living room. A walk-in shower, full kitchen and spacious living area complete this awesome cabin. This cabin also has a ramp to the property for those challenged with stairs.

Rustic Retreat, Cabin 2 (2-bedroom, sleeps 4) $115/night
We love to escape to the mountains, and this is what inspired the design of this cabin. Now you can enjoy a small taste of the mountains while being in Oswego, KS!
Sleeping arrangement include a queen in bedroom one and two twin beds in bedroom two. A walk-in shower and full kitchen complete along with a spacious living area. This cabin also has a ramp to the property for those challenged with stairs.

Rustic Retreat, Cabin 3 (2-bedroom, office/daybed, sleeps up to 6) $125/night
This hunting cabin was newly remodeled in 2020 and combines rustic accents and modern touches that complement the original characteristics of the home. This home has 2 bedrooms and an office/den area that also has a twin bed and room for an additional twin bed to give it sleeping for 6. This home also has a washer/dryer in the home.
Sleeping arrangements include 2 extra-long twin beds (can be converted to a king bed) in one bedroom, 2 standard twin beds in a bedroom, 1 trundle bed in office/bedroom making a total sleeping area for 6 people.

Offers a queen bed in one bedroom and two twin beds in the other. A spacious living area that is open to the fully furnished kitchen. It is a place for everyone to relay. It also has a nice size bathroom with a walk-in shower. Enjoy a rocking chair on the porch or one of the firepit areas for relaxing outdoors. A cleaning shack is available a close that has awasher/dryer and a cleaning area for fish and game.
